Breakups can just be so hard. Rarely are they ever a mutual decision where both people think it is a good idea. And if it was a real relationship then both people have made themselves vulnerable to the other, thus making the emotional pain that much deeper. Feeling can be so painful and hard and yet the alternative is so much worst. A temporary retreat can be good as a way to heal and regroup, as a lifestyle it does not works out well.
